Best Diaper Bags for New Moms

I know what you are thinking, “Brooke, you don’t even have kids. How do you know anything about diaper bags?” Well, you are reading the words of someone who worked for a baby company for two years + worked at Disneyland for 7 months. I know what moms like. ;)

Here is a roundup of my favorite diaper bags that I will definitely invest in when it’s my turn to have kids.

Fawn Design, $169

This is the most coveted diaper bag with good reason! It is buttery soft and has 12 pockets inside and outside of the bag for ultimate convenience. I like the brown one the best. It’s stylish and matches everything.

What’s unique about it? The wide neck of the bag gives parents easy access to anything inside. If the bag is all the way unzipped, you can easily see everything that is inside of the bag in a pinch.

It is also a hybrid between a messenger bag and a backpack, the straps are interchangable, which is just kind of fun but plays no role in usability to me.

Cons? This is obviously one of the most expensive bags on the market. The other bad thing about it is that it doesn’t come with a changing pad like other diaper bags. If you want to buy a changing pad separately, I recommend a Gathre changing mat.

Not ready to drop $169 on a bag? Check out this Amazon dupe that is only $47.99

BUT…their customer service is AMAZING. You will be super happy if you get the real deal, AND you will be supporting a woman-run company. The founder is literally my role model.

Ryla Pack, $139

When I worked for the baby toy company, Little Sapling Toys, I loved working with the Ryla team. Their product is super luxurious and worth every penny. Their diaper bags are a true backpack and come in gray, brown and black.

What is unique? This diaper bag comes with a changing pad AND a wet bag for you know, those times where things just don’t go so great. The inside of the bag is nylon, so it’s super easy to clean.

SO MANY POCKETS! There is a pocket for everything. An insulated one to keep bottles cold, a burp cloth pocket to keep dirty cloths separate, a phone pocket and so many more. Check out their product listings for the low-down on these bags.

Cons: Honestly, none. I really believe in this company and this bag!

Super bonus: You can get it on Amazon Prime or use BROOKE15 on their website for 15% off! :)

JJ Cole Brookmont Diaper Bag, $99 on Amazon

This backpack is a little more on the affordable side and you can get it on Amazon Prime! This bag has a whopping 15 pockets! One of the pockets is fleece-lined for technology, or other little treasures. Reviewers on Amazon say that the bag is super easy to keep clean. If it gets dirty, it is really easy to wipe down.

If you are a minimalist packer, this bag is the perfect one for you. If you a lot around, this bag may not be the winner.

The coolest part about this bag is the front insulated pocket for bottles (and maybe the occasional Red Bull or Diet Coke for mom).

One con that reviewers don’t like about this bag is that the top is only held open by a magnet which can lead to your bag flopping open. If you travel a lot, you might want to keep looking.
