5 Creative Halloween Costumes for Couples

Halloween may not be everyone's favorite holiday, but it is definitely one of my favorites. I love getting all dolled up (or down?) Halloween parties are always super fun, but coming up with the perfect couples costume can be a little intimidating.

Have no fear! Here a couple easy ideas for you and your significant others. Want to be a more unique? Gender bend these ideas or make one of them a zombie version.

1. Officer Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde from Zootopia

Calling all Disney fanatics! We loved Zootopia so much that we wanted to be the infamous duo from it. I didn't have to purchase too much for our costumes-- just the accessories.

I had a blue shirt similar to the color of hers and threw a black sports bra on top. Judy has blue pants so I wore blue leggings. You could easily wear black leggings if you would like. In the movie, she is actually barefoot, the boots were a fashion choice.

I bought the ears, belt, and carrot pen/badge set all from Amazon. Pair it with the Carrot pen from the movie!

Mitch had the green shirt and khakis already. All we bought was the tie and the ears and tail set.

Easy peasy and we were able to rewear the major parts of the costumes.

Favorite quote from Zootopia: It's called a hustle, sweetheart.

2. Ron Swanson and Leslie Knope from Parks and Rec

Calling all Pawnee fans! Mitch and I had just finished binge-watching Parks and Rec so we were obviously pumped on this idea.

We bought everything (except the shoes & mustache) from Goodwill. I think we spent under $15 for everything you see here.

I made the binder insert (If you're Leslie Knope, you need a binder obviously) and the ID badge. I ordered a button from Amazon and you can also get the ID on Amazon as well.

Whoever is playing Ron definitely has to fluff their hair. It's part of the look! If you really want to nail it-- talk in his voice the whole night. I promise, people will love it so much. I know because Mitch nailed it.

Whoever is playing Leslie: rock a blazer and a bright shirt. If you can find a pant suit, you may even beat my costume.

3. Howie Mendell and a Deal or No Deal Briefcase Model

Okay, so I can't take total credit on coming up with this idea. Our brilliant friends showed up to our couples Halloween party as this duo and we lost it.

All the female counterpart has to do is throw on a cute dress and carry a briefcase!

The male counterpart, or the person portraying Howie should wear a bald cap, sole patch, and a suit. For bonus points get a clip-on hoop earring and only give people fist bumps (Howie is a self-proclaimed germaphobe).

PS: Megan Markle used to be a briefcase girl! Crazy, right? Now she’s a princess!

4. Pam and Jim in their Halloween Costumes

Who doesn’t love The Office? Especially Jim and Pam. They are one of the greatest TV couples of all time. Some of the most iconic Office episodes are Halloween ones, so why not be Jim and Pam as THEIR costumes? Costume inception, am I right?

Here is my personal favorite: three-hole punch Jim and kitty cat Pam.

This is the same episode that Dwight is a Sith Lord, which is equally as hilarious.

Honestly, just pick any Office Halloween episode and you will find some gems.

5.Pick a year, any year

This is another costume I can’t take credit for. Our friends did this last year, and it has stuck with me to this day. Our friends went to the party as “2007-2008".” The wife wore Miss Me jeans, Ed Hardy, and she teased her hair to look like she had a BumpIt. The husband wore Ed Hardy, light washed jeans, a snapback and sagged his pants.

BuzzFeed put together an article on all the cool things we did in 2007. ;) Queue Ed Hardy and heavy eyeliner.

We all remember the good ol’ days where we actually thought Miss Me jeans were the greatest, ever. In fact, you may still have some of these relics in your closets.
